Als kind bracht James een groot deel van zijn tijd al dagdromend door. In zijn gedachte reisde hij af naar plaatsen waar alles mogelijk was en waar de regels van de wereld, zoals zwaartekracht niet gelden. Hij is die dromen nooit vergeten en gebruikt nu zijn vaardigheden als fotograaf om ze werkelijkheid te maken.

My hardest question yet. What is your best photography secret? It's scary sharing what makes our work unique but if it means improving the quality of art the world produces, it's worth the sacrifice. So If you're brave enough...Drop a story, tip, trick, anything that helps you that others might not know. To kick it off here's one of mine. When working with people:' You'll want to find a balance between (posing and directing) I say "balance" because the truth is you can't get consistently epic shots from just doing one. Just posing means you stiffen up your subject and natural body language goes to shit. Just directing means you'll never get the exact shot you're looking for because the subject has no idea how they look. So they'll just run around flat footed with hair in their eyes as you waste time on burst mode praying for a usable shot. Heres the trick. 1. Communicate the look you're looking for by doing it yourself first. You can spend ages describing a pose / movement or just get into it yourself. And once you do it's easier to point out the nuances that make it work. 2. Put them in the general position and give them a simple task. "We've got you here in this well lit area for a little dancing but just to make sure I get the best shot I want to make sure as you move around there's a catchlight in your eye and I have clear view of your jawline. As long as you can feel the sun hitting your nose and your hair doesn't come in front of your face then I'll be able to get get a great one" Anyways can't wait to hear your guy's tricks!

This photo marks the realization of a dream. And as much as I'd like to take credit. The honor does not belong to me, but to my greatest supporters. The models who put their faith and patience in me -- who sacrifice their bodies and minds all in the name of creating something beautiful. I've pushed these girls to the edge physically, emotionally and now literally. None of these pictures could ever come to life without their sacrifices and I couldn't be more thankful. Everything I make, everything I do, I've never had it so good and I owe It all to you. I love you guys. And more than anything @karakozuma for this.
